Following are instructions for exchanging your defective Viper product for a replacement unit. We recommend that you first attempt to exchange defecti= ve product at the store or dealer where you purchased it; this is usually the fastest way to get a replacement. For Directed products that were inst= alled in your vehicle by a Directed authorized retailer, you MUST contact the installing retailer for a replacement, and it must be re-installed by professionals per stated warranty terms.

For specific terms of co= verage and other warranty terms, please refer to your Owner’s Guide. Copies of the Guides can also be found online in our Product Guides section.
Your product warranty st= arts on the date that you purchased the product, so a copy of your store receipt with the purchase date must be provided upon return of any defective product.
Per the stated warranty = terms that you received with your product, Directed may repair your defect= ive product, or exchange it with a new or factory refurbished equivalent= at Directed's option.
Your product warranty is voided if the product is damaged through negligence, misuse, or mishandling, or if any bar-coded labels are removed from the product= .
Directed will return your original defect to you at your expense if it is not covered by the t= erms of the warranty.

Instructions for Returning Defective Product for Exchange

1. Print and complete the Consumer Warranty Return Form with product information, your name, the address that returned product should be shipped to, telephone number, and purchase information.

2. Attach your purchase receipt and $15 cashiers check or money order payable to "Directed Electronics" to the form, and enclose both in the box with your defective product. Return all parts that came w= ith the product, whether they are defective or not.

3. Address the returned product to:

4. We recommend that you ship the product using UPS Ground or a carrier that can provide you with tracking information. Directed is not responsible for product that is not delivered to the above address. =

5. Directed will return your exchange product in 2-3 weeks using UPS Ground.
